I cut the blue cupcake liners in half to use for the jellyfish body.

I also snipped the pipe-cleaners into small pieces to use for the jellyfish legs.

I sat down with my eldest son to do this activity. He celebrated his First Communion recently and he wanted to make a few Thank You cards for family and friends who had brought presents along to his party. He actually came up with this idea himself a few weeks ago, when we had been crafting with cupcake liners to make our Duck Craft. You might have seen it over on our Instagram feed?

  1. Paste glue over the back of the cupcake liner and stick it down onto a sheet of paper. We used blue paper so it looked like the jellyfish were swimming under the water.
  2. Attach the pipe-cleaner legs using glue or sticky tape. If you are struggling to get them to stay stuck on with just glue.
  3. Pop on a couple of googly eyes. We bought some coloured googly eyes recently, which came complete with eye lashes making our jellyfish craft look super cute.
  4. Finish the jellyfish off with a lovely wiggly smile using a black marker pen.

Liam then stuck his jellyfish onto the front of his Thank You Cards. They would work great for a preschool under the sea theme or for a quick and easy activity to do during the summer break.
