Frugal Gardening Ideas

It’s always a struggle to get back into the school routine
after the holidays, but I think we are about there now. To ward off the
afternoon tiredness, we have been getting busy in our garden for a good dose of
fresh air to keep us all going until tea time. I planted some fun
“Cress Heads”
with Freddie and Bella yesterday afternoon. This was a very frugal activity as
we re-used yoghurt pots to plant them in and made markers from used lolly
sticks to remind us whose is whose.

They also helped me to transplant some Snap
Dragon seeding’s into some old egg boxes. I really hope these grow as they are
a really fun flower with their dragon like heads. Bella was a little confused
though when I told her we were planting Snap Dragons, she wanted to know where
the dragons actually were!
