Our Summer Story

Another great summer is coming to an end now and as we set
off for a week’s holiday just before the kids head back to school, I d thought
I’d leave you all with a little look back at some of our favourite activities
from this years school holidays.
We began the holidays in the middle of the World Cup so of
course we had to make some flags:

We are lucky enough to live close by to a beach and we ve
had a good few trips down there as the weather has been mostly kind to us. We have
also had fun making our own mini beaches inside when the weather wasn’t so
good:

We ve taken our arts and crafts activities outside when we
ve been able too and here are two of our favourites:

We ve eaten far too many ice-creams and hope to eat a few
more:

My kid’s favourite day out has been a trip up to a local
farm which has inspired many of our activities including these sheep:

And as the holidays have started to come to a close we ve
been adding in some learning fun to get the kids brains back into gear:

This week we ve been doing our Back to school interviews and
recording our heights in a novel way this year:

I m looking forward now to working on some new ideas for
Autumn crafts and then before long we ll be into Halloween and then dare I say
it… Christmas!!

    • Awww thank you! We loved making our sheelp pictures! It's been a busy summer but now it's starting to feel like the season is changing now and i can't wait to get stuck into some Autumn/Fall crafts now.

  1. I am glad you had lots of fun this summer holiday. I'd particularly love visiting a farm too. There's a farm relatively near where we live where you can go cow-cuddling, ie. go into the cow barn and cuddle with the cows and calves. Would like to go there again (I went there while in blindness rehab and was at the time quite frustrated that I had to spend my precious rehab time cuddling cows). (visiting from Single Mother Ahoy's week-end blog hop)
